Aug - 04 - Wednesday 1:00 PM - Advancement Session in Ralph's Driveway

 

Get ahead of your fellow scouts and work with the leaders to prepare yourself for rank advancements.

Especially outdoor stuff, right here in Ralph's backyard. There is no cost for this activity. 

 

Aug - 07 - Saturday 9:00 AM - Beach and Barbecue @ Sunken Meadow Park - BSA Uniform

 

Spend the day at Sunken Meadow State Park. Work on advancements, play outdoor games in the park or on the sandy beach.

Barbecue a lunch and spend the late afternoon swimming in the ocean or playing more outdoor games.

To cover food and gas please bring $ 5.00.

 

Aug - 11 - Wednesday 1:00 PM - Jamaica Bay / Rockaway Beach - BSA Uniform

 

Spend the afternoon at the Jamaica Bay Nature Center learning about birds and trees.

Then spend the early evening at Rockaway beach. Play sports such as handball, basketball and any wide outdoor game of your choosing. 

End the day with an early swim while the lifeguards are still on duty.

There is no cost for this activity, but bring money for a stop at McDonalds on the way home.

 

Aug - 15 - Sunday 9:00 AM - Liberty Science Hands On Center, NJ - BSA Uniform

 

Spend the day in and around the Liberty Science Center, a "Hands On Museum" where you are encouraged to touch most of all the exhibits.

Work on advancements, play outdoor games in Liberty State Park. Bring lunch & drink. The entry fee to the LSC will be $ 12.00

 

Aug - 18 - Wednesday 1:00 PM - Advancement Session in Ralph's Driveway - No Uniform

 

Get ahead of your fellow scouts and work with the leaders to prepare yourself for rank advancements.

Especially outdoor stuff, right here in Ralph's backyard. There is no cost for this activity. 

 

Aug - 21 - Saturday 2:30 PM - Troop Swim @ La Guardia College Pool - No Uniform

 

Same as normal Troop Swim. Bring $2.50 for entry fee

 

Aug - 25 - Wednesday 1:00 PM - Advancement / Archery - BSA Uniform

 

Spend the afternoon working on advancements in Ralph's driveway - Finish off the day by an evening session at the Queens Archery range.

Bring a late lunch & drink and $10.00 for the archery range.

 

Aug - 28 - Saturday 9:00 AM - Harriman State Park - Nature Center / Beach - BSA Uniform

 

Spend the day at Harriman State Park. Visit the Harriman Nature Center/Zoo, work on advancements, and cook a lunch meal,

play outdoor games in the park or on the sandy beach of one of the lakes.

Spend the afternoon swimming in the one of the many lakes or playing more outdoor games. To cover food and gas please bring $ 5.00.

 

SATURDAY / SUNDAY ACTIVITIES: YOU MUST CALL & CONFIRM your attendance by the Wednesday BEFORE
