TROOP 17, SUMMER CAMP CHECKLIST
The scouts will start their day in the Class "B" Uniform: Troop T Shirt, BSA Shorts, Web Belt, White Sock (calf length).
At dinner time they will change to their Class "A" Uniform: BSA Short Sleeve Shirt, BSA Shorts, Web Belt, BSA Crew Socks.
The following is a suggested list of clothing and items your son will need to take with him to summer camp. 
1. - Quantities are based on a one-week (7 day) stay. The Troop does laundry at the end of the first week.
2. - ALL ITEMS MUST BE LABELED WITH THE SCOUTS NAME.
3. - Leave valuables at home, the camp is not responsible.
4. - We encourage pre-packing each day's clothes in separate plastic storage bags to help your son. 
5. - The medical forms must be turned in to the Scoutmaster BEFORE we leave.
               
REQUIRED ITEMS
ESSENTIALS   CLASS "A" BOY SCOUT UNIFORM
      MEDICAL FORM (Filled out and Signed)       1-2 Boy Scout Short Sleeve Shirts
      PRESCRIBED MEDICATION (Give to Scoutmaster)       2 or more Boy Scout Shorts
      Sleeping Bag (2-3 Blankets will do)       3-4 Pair or more BSA Crew Socks (worn w/Class "A")
      Duffel Bag         1 Pair Long Boy Scout Trousers 
      AND / OR Backpack: (May be needed for advancements)       1 BSA Web Belt
         
OTHER CLOTHES CLASS "B" BOY SCOUT UNIFORM
      8 Pair of Under Shorts (1 pair per day, plus extra)       6  "Troop 17" Tee Shirts (3 Tan and 3 Blue)
      1 Poncho or Raincoat       2 Plain White Tee Shirts (no designs)
      1 Sweatshirt or Sweater       8 Pair White Socks (Calf Length) (1 pr/day, plus extra)
      1 Jacket (Spring/Summer Weight)    
      1 Pair of Pajamas or Sleepwear MISCELLANEOUS
      1-3 Handkerchiefs or Tissues       BSA Calf length socks
      1-2 Pair Swim Trunks (Swims 2x day, Pack 1 on Top)        Flashlight / Extra Batteries
            Day Pack or Old Book Bag (To carry daily essentials)
FOOTWEAR       Laundry Bag  (Laundry will be done at end of 1st week)
      1 Pair of Boots (or similar for hiking purposes)       Scout Handbook 
      1 Pair of Sneakers (for campsite use)       Water Bottle or Canteen
      1 Pair of water shoes (optional) (old sneakers for River)       Insect Repellent (Lotion or Roll On, with Deet, Not Spray)
            Sun protection (lotion)
WASH-UP KIT / TOWELS       Pocket knife (Optional) (if qualified)
      Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Comb, Brush …Ect       Past Merit Badge Partials (Incomplete Merit Badges)
