2003 Camporee, Alpine Scout Camp
Friday 4/25 -
The annual Camporee is always a fun and
arduous. The packing is always tough, since
you bring everything you can possibly never
need.
Saturday 4/26 -
The competition is the real fun part. The
Scouts get to measure themselves up
against their peers. Sometimes it's the
Scouts just measuring up against their own
standards. The Wolf patrol finished second
overall. The Dragon patrol composed of
tenderfoot scouts enjoy a learning
experience, just as the Wolf patrol did 2 years
ago.
The traditional campfire highlight is the OA
tap out. This year three of our Scouts earned
the privilege to be candidates and will
participate in the ordeal weekend at TMR at
the end of May.
Sunday 4/27 -
A leisurely morning followed by a drawn out
packing regimen. No one wants to go home
quickly, or so it seems.
