Taconic Outdoor Education Center at
Fahnestock State Park sponsors this great
day event.
Our favorite activities are the Bird Banding,
the Kayaking, the High Ropes Course and
the Birds of Prey.
This one day event has become the Troop's
favorite day activity. We always have great
participation from the newest to the oldest
members.

Bird Banding
As you can see the Scouts do get up close
and personal with the captured birds. Once
banded the birds are released safely.

Kayaking
Available as a solo or in tandem. The Scouts
get to spend 20-30 minutes maneuvering
around the pond.

The High Ropes Course
The scouts and other participants get a
chance to experience some high COPE
elements. They get to try at least four different
elements with a buddy or solo.
