The Shawnee Ski Trip is becoming a staple in the
Troop activities program. This is our third year of
attendance at the Pocono Scout Weekend and every
year the Scouts vote to come back for more.
This year 13 Scouts and two adult leaders participated
in the weekend's activities. Two full days of snow
sports made the time fly by, much to the chagrin of the
youths. Everyone had a good time and everyone
returned home in great spirits but with a few bumps
and bruises.
The Scouts were able to choose either snowboarding
or skiing. One boy managed to do both during the two
day stay. The weather was great, even warm to hot at
times. To qualify for the trip the participating Scouts
had to advance one rank during the past year.
